Our Focus

Adaawe is an online resource created by Rainy Lake Tribal Area Business & Financial Services Corporation. We are an Aboriginal Financial Institution intended to help Aboriginal Enterpreneurs realize their dream of owning their own business. Rainy Lake Tribal Area Business & Financial Services Corporation was established to provide access to its member First Nations with financing for business start-up or expansion, in addition to providing related support services in the areas of business planning and management skills development. The Corporation was formally established in 2004, with the signing of the Articles of Incorporation in September 2004. It is a for-profit company that operates as a subsidiary of Advisory Services, with a mandate to deliver financial and professional business services to First Nation businesses all around the Treaty #3 Tribal Area.

Allan Luby, Luby’s 24 Hour Ltd., Kenora, ON

"The local paper mill closed which had a devastating effect on our business, resulting in a drop of 60% in sales. We knew we had to reinvent the business model so we approached the Rainy Lake Tribal Area Business & Financial Services Corporation for financing.
The service was professional and we received the much needed financing in a timely fashion.
The result has been fantastic, we now have sales that exceed the best years when the paper mill was open.
They offered assistance in preparing the business plan, assessing markets and more.
I would recommend Rainy Lake Tribal Area Business & Financial Services Corporation to people who are new to business or to existing businesses looking to expand or rejuvenate their operations."
