Loan Services

Micro Loan
Available to members from the Rainy Lake Tribal Area only. Individual Entrepreneurs may be eligible for a minimum of $2,000 to a maximum of $20,000 of funding assistance. Documented proof of Aboriginal ancestry. Have the education/experience that would contribute to your collective business and management experience. Have evidence of sufficient personal financial resources to undertake the project you are proposing (a bank statement)nnInclude a resume that highlights experience, training and/or education related to your business activitynnShould be involved full-time with the proposed business in a management capacity. Futures Loan
Available to member of the Treaty #3 area. Individual Aboriginal entrepreneurs may receive up to $99,999 in funding assistance. For community-owned businesses, this assistance can be up to $1 million.In order to be eligible, you must be of Canadian Aboriginal heritage — Status or Non-status Indian (on or off-reserve), Métis or Inuit — or a majority owned Aboriginal business, financial organization, or development corporation. Have a balanced financial package (involving debt financing from other sources, as well as your own equity). Have a viable business opportunity and experience in your sector. Read More

Enhanced Access
Eligible to qualified Aboriginal Applicants from within Treaty #3 area. Aboriginal entreprenuers may receive up to a maximum of $100,000 and a minimum of $10,000. You must have documented proof of Aboriginal ancestry, a viable business opportunity in your sector & management skills. Equity will be 10% of capital costs of project in the form of cash and an application fee is required which is 1% of total capital costs.

Regional Partnership Grants
Eligible to Aboriginal business owners within the Treaty #3 area. Grants with a maximum of $100.000 are available in the form of start-up and early stage loans, and expansion capital. Business support resources available with a client centered approach complete with training modules on developing your own business plan.

Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund (NADF)
Available to members of Treaty #3 area. Individual entrepreneurs may receive contributions up to a maximum of $99,999. Community-owned businesses may receive contributions up to a maximum $249,999.
Documented proof of Aboriginal Ancestry. Aboriginal ownership must be at least 51%. Have the education/experience that would contribute to your collective business and management experience. Have evidence of sufficient personal financial resources to undertake the project you are proposing (a bank statement) Include a resume that highlights experience, training and/or education related to your business activity.
